As we move forward with our transformation strategy, we have several substantial developments planned for Bupa Global this year. As part of our plans, we’re working to grow and expand our reach in the African market. This includes setting up a new office in Nairobi, Kenya – supporting our 2027 growth and service goals.
Bupa Global is the first and only IPMI global insurer to gain a direct licence to operate in Kenya, effective from 1 April 2025.
The licence allows us to expand our business and build our brand more quickly.
By going for big growth goals while keeping an eye on our long-term plans and the bigger picture, we can keep building on what we've achieved – paving the way for a bright future for Bupa Global.
As we expand our footprint in Kenya, we aim to enable more of our customers to enjoy longer, healthier, and happier lives. We’re also making a better world.
Kenya is a key component of our sustainability plan. In conjunction with our licence agreement, the Bupa Foundation has invested in various environmental, social, and governance projects in Kenya. These include the construction of a number of boreholes to supply fresh drinking water, and the co-sponsorship of a medical camp to provide urgent healthcare services for the communities of the Masai Mara.
